Why upscale instead of regenerating
Regenerating a bigger version of an image is not the same image - the pose, the expression, the exact framing can all shift. Upscaling is not a new generation at all: it takes the pixels you already approved and adds detail and sharpness on top, so the result you get back is unmistakably the same shot, just crisper.
Picking a provider
OnZero offers a few upscaling engines and they are not interchangeable: the default enhances and sharpens with balanced results, a fast option gives a cheap 4x boost when speed matters more than nuance, a detail-faithful option stays as close as possible to the original pixels, and a creative option is willing to invent plausible extra detail where the source is soft. Pick based on whether you want faithfulness or maximum sharpness.
